Trademark Registration Procedure in Bangladesh
Stage 1: Filing
The Applicant have to file an Application to the Registrar in the Prescribed Form for registration of the desire Trademark.

Stage 2: Examine by the Registrar
In this Stage, the Registrar examines the trademark application and the desire Mark in compliance with the provisions of the Applicable Laws.
Generally it takes 08-12 months from the date of filing.
Stage 3: Publication
After examining the Trademark if the Registrar is satisfied, the mark will be published in the Trademark Journal for objection purposes.
The Applicant have to paid the prescribed publication fees.
It will also takes 08-12 months from the date of submitting publication fees.
Stage 4: Registration
After publishing the mark in the Trademark Journal if the Registrar did not receive any Objection regarding the desire mark then the Registrar shall issue a Certificate of Registration to the Applicant.
The Registration of the Trademark shall be given for a initial period of 7 Years.
- Trademark Renewal in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh a Trademark can be renewed from time to time upon payment of the renewal fees for an unlimited period of time. Each Renewal term is a period of 10 Years.
For Renewal of a Trademark the Applicant have to apply to the Registrar in the Prescribed Form.
